Effortless Summer Bronzed Look

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, MAC Blush in Harmony, NARS Laguna Bronzer, Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer 02, MAC Lipglass in Underage, Sleek Blush in Pixie Pink, MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection, MAC Eyeliner in Stubborn Brown, St Tropz Medium/Dark Gradual Tan for Face

We all love and thrive to have that effortlessly bronzed look we seem to get on holiday. If, stuck in England (or wherever home is for you), there are ways to cheat the summer look.

First, the tan.

I like fake tanning, my favourite brand is St Tropez. Pictured is their gradual face tan in medium/dark. Apply it before bed and you'll wake up with a hint of colour - it's not drastic so don't expect a huge colour change, yet it does look healthy and glowy. Note: it is renowned to break people out so if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend, unless you're brave.

As for the base if you feel confident enough, wear a BB cream (the Garnier Skin Perfecter for combination/oily skin is really good for summer) or tinted moisturiser (try the NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturiser or Laura Mercier oil-free for more coverage). If not, your regular foundation will do.

Highlighting the top of your cheek bones will help exsentuate the bronzed glow we will fake. I like the Maybelline Dream Lumi (£6.99) highlighting concealer pen. It lasts a long time and looks flawless. Cheap, too. Collection also do one, and MAC Prep & Prime in "Light Boost" is a great alternative.

Now for the bronzer. Contouring is key for this look: use a matte brown, such as MAC Powder Blush in Harmony (£17.50). It helps create a perfect natural shadow and can be built up for a more intense finish. A bronzer with a little shimmer can also help get that sun-kissed look. My favourite is NARS Laguna (£26) - it contains the perfect amount of shimmer without making you look shiny/glittery.

Bright barbie pink blush can help pull a look together. This one by Sleek in Pixie Pink (£4.49) is inexpensive, really pigmented and lasts a really long time.

Now for eyes! Gold shimmery colours are a must this summer. For a base I use the MAC Paint Pot in Vintage Selection as it helps the colour last all day and also enhances the shade. Pictured is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (£36) with so many gorgeous colours, the whole palette is a must have. My top shades to use are Half Baked (shimmery gold), Suspect (shimmery light bronze), YDK (champagne) and Snakebite (shimmery bronze).

Black eyeliner is a definate no for summer days (night time, yes). I go for brown liners such as MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Stubborn Brown (£14). It can be easily smudged to create an effortless eye look that looks sultry and put together.

For lips, I love wearing MAC Tinted Lipglass in Underage (£13.50). A perfect baby pink with a hint of gold shimmer. It smells like vanilla and because it has a sticky texture it lasts quite a long time.

So they are my summer essentials and must haves to create the perfect bronzed look. Links are below! Have a great summer, and don't forget to wear sun protection! Xoxo
