Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream is probably the cheapest skincare product I use and love, and I never thought I'd like it this much! Perhaps known best for using on babies, I've found it to work amazing on the skin of, well, non-babies :P

Origins Super Spot Remover

I'm very sceptical when it comes to changing my skincare routine - or putting anything on my face for that matter. My skin is extremely prone to breakouts; I've had this every since I was a child. It's not eczema or rosacea. I just get acne (small bumps under the skin). If you have either eczema or rosacea, then this product is not for you. I'd recommend Sudocrem for redness and PanOxyl 10 Aquagel for treatment. Both are excellent products. I'm much more confident when trying make-up as I am with skincare. This is because I use my skincare products everyday whereas make-up I don't and if the product doesn't work, I'm pretty much screwed. Unfortunately, it takes my skin ages to recover from breakouts or allergic reactions so I have to be so careful. Yet the reviews on this product were pretty good so I thought I would give it a go.

One of my favourite YouTubers Vivianna, who I have bought her recommendations before and loved them, mentioned the Origins Super Spot Remover in her monthly favourites. She said it was a wonderful product that she would keep repurchasing. Sounds good. Here's what Origins say:

But does it work?

The first time I used it, I didn't notice anything the next day. I kept using it at night and after about three days I was starting to notice that a lot of the redness surrounding my breakouts disappeared. It also seems like they minimised the size of the breakout. I was looking at the website and it says that its "best for all skin types". Now I have dry/combination skin (more of the combination side) and I found that it made my skin extremely dry. Especially where I had applied the product. I didn't really mind as by the time I washed my face and moisturised in the morning, it was hardly noticeable. So is it worth the £13.00 for the smallest bottle in the world? I'm not too sure. I've seen similar results from PanOxyl - the only difference is that it is £10 cheaper! However I do think that it does work extremely well in reducing redness more than anything else. I also like the fact that it gives a tingly sensation once applied. Some people I've read don't like this, but personally I love it. If you are on the fence about purchasing this product (like I was), I would definitely go for it. What have you got to loose?

February Favourites!

Hello again! I'm sorry for the lack of posts, like I said in my last post I had a lot of exams and coursework this week. Luckily, I done my last three exams today which means I can make loads more blog posts! <3

Today I am going to do a "favourites" type post (like the ones popular on YouTube) including all of my favourite products/items from the past month. Expect lots of photos!

1) Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clear Blemish Gel

This stuff is awesome and I found myself applying it much more in February than I have ever before. It does what it says, however I do find it can be very drying on the skin. Make sure you use a moisturiser before applying to prevent flaky skin (ew). Get it there!


2) Carmex moisturising lip balm

I've been using my EOS lip balm in Vanilla for quite some time now, so I decided to try Camex which is much talked about. After my first use, I absolutely love it! I use it every night religiously and it definitely replaces my EOS lip balm, for sure! Get it here, UK only


3) MAC Pressed Blot Power in Medium

This is my all time favourite face-powder. It doesn't give any coverage but it perfectly sets any make-up I may be wearing that day, and is perfect for touching up during the day. I use this with my MAC 182 kabuki brush for awesome results. Get the Kabuki here and the Blot Powder here!


4) Percy & Reed Hair Finishing Polish

I recently received this as a gift and was surprised to find out it actually works. After washing my hair I apply a pea-size amount (as instructed) and run it through my hair. It leaves it soft and shiny looking. My only problem with it is the horrible fragrance. Purchase here.

6) MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder

This is one of all time favourite eyeliner for the waterline. Even though it doesn't last long, I love the colour and consistency so much that I don't care. My favourite shade is Smolder.

7) Loads and loads of magazines

Magazines! I know, it's a weird favourite. But this month I've been obsessed with fashion magazines in particular: Marie Clare, ELLE, InStyle and Glamour (UK versions, obvs)! The base of my wardrobe is filled with piles upon piles of magazines. I'm literally obsessed. I can't exactly link you to buy these magazines, so just check your local newsagents!


8) Wildfox "LOVE" Baggy Beach Jumper

This sweater is my favourite sweater. I wished I had more of these bad boys, but yes they are extremely expensive (for what they are). This one was about £100 and at the time it was on sale! But, if you ever get the chance to pick up one of these, definitely do it. They are so comfortable and soft - it's unreal.  I always wear a white long sleeved top underneath as I find it can be a bit chilly, especially in the winter. Nevertheless, Wildfox are an amazing brand. I can't find this exact one, but here is a link to the website!

9) My favourite songs of the month

The magic of Sudocrem (yes, magic!)

You might be wondering why on earth I'm talking about a cream that's famous for healing nappy rash. Well my friends, it does much more than that. 

Even though it is the markets leading nappy rash cream, Sudocrem can be used to heal and soothe various other skin conditions such as:

- Cuts and grazes

- Minor burns

- Sunburn

- Eczema/acne

- Bed scores

- Chilblains

It's gentle and won't sting upon application! It reduces infection and contains a mild anaesthetic to soothe pain. It helps heal wounds and forms a protective barrier over the effected area.

Enough of the science-y stuff, personally I love this cream. Everyone in my family uses this stuff, and for different reasons. I use it as a thick moisturiser at night to soothe my skin as I suffer from acne breakouts and redness. Forget toothpaste, this stuff works. My dad uses it to treat cuts and infections whereas my mum uses to treat sunburn (in the summer, of course).

It's a thick consistancy so I recommend using it at night so that it has time to settle.

Celebrities such as Chloe from TOWIE was seen using it in a recent episode stating "I swear by this stuff". Even the likes of Cheryl Cole and Rihanna have all revealed that they too use Sudocrem.

They come in small, medium and large (the tubs) and I purchased mine from a chemist. I wouldn't recommend you buy it online simply for heath and safety reasons - you want it to be fresh! This stuff is so cheap as well - around £5 for the largest tub! It's worth a try.
