Shoe obsession and my wish-list

Before I start, I want to say I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. Our kitchen is literally filled to the brim with easter eggs and, with my dad on a diet and my mum never eating sugar, I have to eat them all! I'm writing that as if it's a bad thing, oh hell no, I'm a happy bunny :)

Anyway so I was flicking through the April edition of Teen Vogue and came across a Louis Vuitton advertisement with the model wearing the most gorgeous wedges ever. Firstly, I was sad that they were by an expensive brand and secondly, I prayed that they were available in the UK - Teen Vogue is an American magazine so, as expected, all adverts published are American.

So, I went to the LV website - UK version! - and here they are...

They are called the Tuileries Sandal in Silk.

Description of them on the website:
"This stylish update of summer's classic espadrilles comes in pretty heart-print silk coordinating with Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear, and on a comfortable braided raffia wedge."

On the website it says they come in a dark blue with white and black as well. OMG.

I'm not sure which one's I prefer! However, at £570 they are definitely one to splurge on and I am sure that there are many cheaper alternatives in the high street, yet the Louis Vuitton name plastered on the sole makes it extra special. If I'm completely honest, I thought they would be more. Still, I won't be spending that much on a pair of sandals yet. After all, they can only be worn in spring and summer.

I'm also completely head-over-heels (excuse the pun) in love with Christian Louboutin shoes. I can't decide what design I like the most but If I had to choose one, I'd definitely go with the classic black style. The red sole is to die for!

I'm just about to watch Sherlock (the TV series) - I love this show so much! Even though I've seen them all, it's nice to re-watch ones you don't remember!

Spring/Summer '12 at Louis Vuitton

This season there was so much to get excited about. Not just for the pieces but the whole spirit of the seasons. In all four major cities; London, Milan, Paris and New York, designers pulled out all the stops into showcasing their new trends and designs ready for the upcoming spring and summer.

Spring/Summer 2012 is all about being pretty, being feminine and embracing your love of fashion by having lots of fun with it.

Louis Vuitton S/S '2012

Out of all the designers showcasing their pieces it was, in fact, Louis Vuitton in Paris who dedicated their show specifically to pastels. The Louis Vuitton S/S12 collection is the modern edge to the broderie anglaise and candy colours, which makes it classic and - most importantly - cool.

Florals and pastels are said to be in this S/S '12

Big laced collars were proven to be a statement trend at the Louis Vuitton S/S '12 show in Paris with most of the models showcasing a different collar trend.

Here is one of my favourite designs:
(you probably won't catch me wearing it though, mind you)

Some might say that this collection is granny-esque and something that our great great great grandparents might be caught wearing. However, I think that this collection brings a modern twist to vintage fashion - the fun, candy colours bringing a slight modern edge to fashion. Personally, I think the large, laced collars look intriguing and different which is why I think this collection is fault proof.

The icy whites and silver was injected with candy pinks, yellow and pale blue accented with touched of navy. The accessories, as always, were key and the collection had some gorgeous additions to their already world-famous collection.

Who better to walk the runaway with the latest trends other than creative director Marc Jacobs' best friend Kate Moss?

Gracefully, she walked it for a second year in Paris.

I hope you liked this post! More fashion-related posts will be coming soon as I find them particularly interesting to write. Thank you.
