I have read numerous articles on how to detect the malware on your blog, each going into detail about various codes to look out for. Yet, the most helpful one I came across basically said to: delete all the gadgets/widgets on your page!
These include: page view counters, social networking links, hyperlinked pictures and links to other people's blogs on your homepage. On each of these gadgets, there is a high chance that malware (viruses) are being planted into your blog. So to prevent getting spammed, delete these now.
I've just done it, and all of the malware warnings have disappeared.
